Motivation

MOTIVATION must come from within and it must be omni- present. There is no other way. There must to be an internal need or want to be truly motivated.
I have lived and worked for a long time with this simple acronym as a huge part of my business, social and personal life. It is CPA !
Commit
Persevere
Achieve
It is pretty simple concept but through this process true motivation must be intertwined. Committing is the part that is easy - everyone wants to lose weight / get in shape / get the next job etc until adversity and difficulty rears its ugly head.
That is where the hard part begins the perseverance. I love the word - it brings toughness, grit, hard work and dedication to the forefront. This is the true test of how badly do you want something. Will YOU pay the price and do whatever is necessary to reach your goal.
I took over one the 10 worst division I programs in America and in less than 3 years won a conference championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament. I credit my, players and my staff but without our CPA attitude being applied on a day in and day out basis this could have never happened. Three years later I was diagnosed with having two major blood clots and a 104.5 fever and spent 15 days in the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the Final Four and less then 1 year later we were back to the tournament and one a game. CPA was the only way I got out of Texas alive and back to Dayton.

When your motivation meets the CPA anything - and I mean anything - is possible. It did for me and it certainly will happen for you.
Go get it done !
